The Safety Compass program will be offered to 10 families for free thanks to funding support provided by LeTourneau University, the Kiwanis Club, and Nelson Filter Services. Sign up using the QR code in the link below, and we will contact you to schedule.

Dr. Nelson provided a presentation on Integrating Christian Faith and Evidence-Based Interventions in Navigating Youth Identity Development with her colleagues at the American Association for Christian Counselors World Conference in Nashville, TN.

August

Dr. Nelson provided a presentation titled, Prevention & Progress: Partnering with Families and Community, at the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority’s Human Trafficking Summit. This presentation was delivered to community members to enhance prevention efforts and understanding of counseling services available for survivors.

Dr. Nelson provided a presentation titled, Scroll Less, Connect More: Navigating Healthy and Safe Smartphone Use, at the Gloria Dei church in Houston, TX. This presentation was delivered to families to help enhance safety and boundaries around smartphone use and internet exposure.
